Olsey Espinosa

 

Espinosa was born in Anderson, SC on January 18, 1961. She is number 5 of 8. As a native to SC, she attended Pendleton Elementery and Pendleton High School. Her educational background includes attending Rutledge Business College, in Greenville, SC, Tri -County Technical College in Clemson, SC and Saddleback Junior College, Misssion Viejo, CA. Her professional background consists of an AA degree in Business and her certifications are in medical billing and nurse assisting. She is currently employed with Quest Diagnostics where she has worked for twenty years. Mrs. Espinosa's future aspirations include a Psychology degree with a goal to provide Grief Counseling.

When Mrs. Espinosa gave birth to her oldest son Jameel, she became a parent of a child with Sickle Cell Anemia (SCA). Through much exposure and self-education, she gave great attention to all health advances that were possible treatments for SCA. Mrs. Espinosa is currently an activist and educational advocate for SCA. Her endless efforts and compassionate heart defines her mission. Mrs. Espinosa maintains a very close connection with her spouse Gilbert of nine years and her two ambitious sons , Vincent and Matthew. As a mother of a son that had SCA , she and her family remind themselves of Jameels on-hard journey battling SCA. Mrs. Espinosa has made a personal life time commitment to support all efforts that will improve the life all those afflicted with SCA.
