Support Services

We establish an environment in which members are at liberty to express their feelings and personal challenges related to sickle cell disease with others, who have a unique understanding of their issues. To provide a forum in which members can give and receive support from their peers.

The SCDFOC support group is committed to sowing our time, compassion and understanding to each participant. This support group was designed to be a vessel in which all members can share and give back to those with SCD. Each member share in open discussions about how sickle cell disease affects them. Members also share their feelings, experiences, and receive information about mutual interests, concerns and problems. The scope of the discussion is determined by group members. When an issue warrants more attention, a representative from a relevant agency or organization will attend and their concerns.

Our support group are held quarterly. If you are interested in attending, please contact Support Services today!
