The Sickle Cell Foundation of Orange County is pleased to announce  its Annual Black Tie  Inaugural Event! This event will be held  on November 7th, 2009 at 5:00 pm. The 2009 “Sunset Cruise For A Cause”  is a seven hour cruise through the Newport Harbor on The Entertainer Yacht. Guest can look forward to an evening of  great company while dancing, dinning,  playing poker for charity,  silent auction, and enjoy performances from the Legendary Four Tops, and laugh with comedian Henry Coleman. Come and get a sneak peak of SCDFOC next month performer Phil Gates Blues Band (Winner of both 2008 SoCal Regional IBC, and 2009 Beale Street Blues Kings awards, with Phil Gates, Guitar / Vocals, Danny Ritter -Drums, Vince Tividad-Bass and Mark Justin-keyboards, a night of Blues is on tap!), Celebrity and Sickle Cell Activist KiKi Sheppard, and many more! Come out and enjoy the sounds of Latin, while Salsa Dancing and get you grove on with the R&B Sounds of Bobby Womack, Charlie Wilson, and many more. This prestigious Black Tie Charity event will benefit , The Sickle Cell Foundation of Orange County in furthering the  mission and vision to educate, empower, equip, children, youth, young adults, and adults with the authority and power to overcome the  challenges of Sickle Cell Disease. Dress to impress! (The first 50 tickets purchased,  will be entered into a drawing to win 2-Night Stay at the new“AVIA Hotel” in Long Beach, CA.
